DESCRIPTION:   Determining our students’ understanding and misconceptions is essential for their success. In this session, participants will:

-  determine the characteristics of higher-level tasks and consider how to modify lower-level tasks,

-  identify the role that evidence and anticipation play in using evidence of student learning,

-  consider next steps for specific mathematics tasks featured during the session,

-  articulate how productive struggle contributes to student learning with these tasks, and 

-  identify strategies for supporting productive struggle within their mathematics classroom.

Classroom resources and activities will be shared.
